Who we are
We are the Suore Vittime Espiatrici di Gesù Sacramentato, a Catholic community of Sisters founded in Naples in 1878 by Saint Maria Cristina Brando. Our congregation is part of the worldwide Catholic Church and is often known as the Sacramentine Sisters.
Our life is centred on Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament. Prayer, especially Eucharistic adoration, is at the heart of everything we do. Through prayer, we offer our lives for the Church and for the needs of the world.
Our Life of Prayer and Service
Each day we live a life of:
Prayer and Eucharistic adoration
Celebration of the liturgy
Community life
Alongside prayer, we also serve others through pastoral, educational, and charitable work. We welcome all who come here seeking peace, silence, and spiritual support.
Our Community
Our general house is in Casoria, near Naples, and our Sisters serve in Italy, Brazil, Colombia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Wherever we live, our mission remains the same: to love, pray, and serve, guided by devotion to the Eucharist.
Our Presence in This Abbey
Here at the Abbey, we care for the church and its prayer life. Above all, we are here to pray for everyone who visits, and to keep this place a house of prayer, welcome, and quiet reflection.
